As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water with basic knowledge of safety precautions
• Proficient in deep water and able to use watercraft (surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
• Able to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam and have experience working with children
• Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred but not required
• Must be 18 years of age
